Recently, a review of the only validated squash accuracy test was published to the Global Squash Coach blog. If you have not read the review yet, it would be highly recommended.
In short, the review discussed the history of the test, the benefits and limitations within the research, as well as the potential benefits/usefulness of the test if it were to be implemented within a coaching program. Accompanying the review, was a free PDF download that explained how to set up and perform the test.
As a follow on from the review, many possibly wondered if there was a simple way to track/calculate accuracy changes over time. The simple answer is… yes.
Linked below is a squash accuracy calculator that will:
Calculate your HSAT Score out of 375.
Express the score as a percentage out of 100.
Provide you with a rolling average of your past three performances.
Compare your most recent HSAT test to your previous performance and determine the change as a percentage.
Determine whether a true change has occurred i.e. the change calculated (signal) is larger than the test error (noise).
